Background

The Leading Edge Group was established in 1995 to provide process improvement best practice for service, manufacturing, supply chain, and healthcare organizations. Joe Aherne CPA - chairperson of the group - has always championed the power of process optimization, having working for a diverse range of multinationals in Saudi Arabia, the UK, and Ireland.

The Leading Edge Group has worked on over 800 consulting and educational projects with over 200 multinationals worldwide. Our blue chip client base includes Dell, Pfizer, Coca Cola, Boston Scientific, and Invensys to name but a few.

Our diverse projects demonstrate our great strength in that our methodology and tools can be applied successfully across a wide array of sectors. For example, we have partnered with staff from specific customer organizations to successfully streamline healthcare, government, and financial service processes. Equally, we have supported a variety of functions within these organizations including Finance, IT, Quality, Sales, and Human Resources.

The group has expanded substantially over the past 11 years, and has a reputation for supporting and empowering organizations and their people through growing expertise from within. Strategic partners include the Irish and American Institutes of Industrial Engineers, the Canadian Professional Logistics Institute, University College Cork, and the University of Limerick.

In response to customer requirements, we became the first organization at a global level to develop an international on-line accredited standard in Lean for manufacturing, service, and healthcare organizations.
