Introduction
Change management is the application of a systematic approach and tools to move an organization (or component of an organization) from its current state to a desired future state, focusing on the people side of change. The aim of change management is to more effectively and efficiently implement new systems, structures, methods and policies in an ongoing organization.
Change management enables individuals and groups to support and participate in a change such that each person and group fully embraces the future state and works toward the objectives of that change.
About the Speaker
Jerri Brooks MA
Jerri received her Master of Arts in Human Communications at the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, CO. She is a senior healthcare consultant and master change agent with the Leading Edge Group and is based in Parker, CO. Jerri has an extensive background in organizational development with 25 plus years of experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD), telecommunications and healthcare industries.
Jerri has developed leaders and managers in change and facilitation concepts and tools, including the development and delivery of education and training to over 2,000 leaders, managers and healthcare employees. As an adult education instructor at Regis University and Colorado Christian University, Jerri teaches various leadership and management courses, as well as the development and delivery of “Strategic and Project Management in a Healthcare Setting”.
Jerri has contributed change leadership and facilitation skills in implementing a full hospital Healthcare Information System (HIS) as well as implementing laboratory systems for Catholic Health Initiatives, Denver (77 hospitals, 68,000 employees, $7B+ revenues).
