LEAN LAB OFFER
For a limited time only, the Leading Edge Group is offering a unique package of training and consulting services to get your laboratory started on the Lean journey. The package focuses on a 5-day rapid improvement (“kaizen”) event and includes:
● Pre-event planning and preparation (by conference call or Skype) in which our experienced healthcare consultant will work with lab management to identify and agree an area to focus improvements, select a team to participate in the event, and plan the event schedule and logistics requirements in detail.
● Basic training in Lean principles and tools for up to 10 people, resulting in Lean White Belt certification for participants through Leading Edge Group’s certified training program.
● Facilitation of a Value Stream Mapping (VSM) event, including a current state map, issues and areas for improvement in the current process, a future state map, and a detailed action plan for implementation.
● Supporting team implemention of changes to the layout, organization and work structure of the lab. These events have a strong bias for immediate action - we deliver real change very quickly, not long lists of future plans. Improvements that were identified as part of the VSM exercise will be actually put into place during the same week.
● Follow up meetings/calls to check on progress of any items not completed during the event and to ensure sustainment of improvements.
● Delivery of a final workshop report (PowerPoint), as well as soft copies of all process models, action plans and other outputs from the team.
